This Fine Art Printing Process is produced on a Digital Press. It was developed early in the early 1990's out of a desire to blend newer technologies with an old-world craft, for the purpose of creating true Fine Art Prints. The press sprays millions of droplets of inks or pigment, directly onto the PAPER or CANVAS surface, creating the images and colors. The word Giclee is a French term meaning "To Spray". The press does NOT use "dots" to form the image. Rather, it yields an image that is continuous in tone. The Giclee has Archival qualities that are vastly superior to offset prints, or other lesser perfect processes. The Giclee process is the closest that one can come to the quality, color, and texture of an original painting. The pigment or Ink Colors that are used, usually have a 150 year fade-proof life.
